Santiago. The City was discovered by Juan
de Saavedra in 1536, has not an official foundation.

World Heritage by the UNESCO, because of its
peculiar architecture biuld on 42 different
Hills in front of a natural Bay, in this impressive
scene

down, hidden corners and its lift system working
for over 100 years.

Neruda lived in this city, you can visit his
house which is a museum, at this point you
will understand how this city inspired many
poets
and artists.

Viña
del Mar The Garden City
The "Garden
City" in Chile, becuase of its
nice gardens all over the City.
Founded on 1874, has some old buildings
though basically all constructions are
modern and new.
Has a number of beautiful Beaches, Reñaca´s
one are the nicest in the area.
Lots of tourists
visit the City because of its Casino
or because of the Song Festival, which
takes place here every February. |

Tour
to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar
|
We leave the City towards
the Coast, crossing the valleys of Curacavi
and Casablanca, fruit and vegetable farms
in the first, vineyards in the second.
We will visit the most important places
from the City, its historic squares, its
old funicular railway, paseo 21 de Mayo
with a spectacular view over the Port
and the City. |

We continue to Viña
del Mar, the Garden City, the Casino,
the Quinta Vergara amphiteather that hosts
the International Song Festival every
year.
Stop for lunch in the area of
the nicest beaches, Reñaca, where
the nicest beaches are located.
After lunch return to Santiago and stop
on the top of a Hill to take the last
photographs of the Cities of Valparaiso
and Viña del Mar.
